When posting about technical difficulties, please be sure to include a pastebin of the crash log. For ATLauncher, you can find this in /instances/GultsGorge/crash-reports/
Usually, you'll want the latest crash report.
Without this information, it'll be difficult (if not impossible) to tell you what's going on. Sometimes, if you read the crash report, you might see the problem and be able to diagnose it yourself!

So, basically i have a really good computer. I have allocated 5gb of ram but the pack is very laggy. On other modded servers that I play on, that have more mods, aren't laggy at all. I'm not sure if this is the server or Atlauncher.

I generally have problems for the first few minutes after connecting, simply because it's not necessarily just your RAM (I have 8 gigs allocated out of 16), but also your graphics card that has to deal with all of the textures loading, and some of the mods we're using have boatloads of textures.
Not to mention the Quark/Forestry glitches we're experiencing, which could cause trouble on it's own.
Glad to hear it's cleared up though.

I was trying to login into the server and I got on for around a minute and it kicked me off and since than I have been getting disconnected

Hold off on trying to play on the server for a little while, Monkey. The server is HIGHLY unstable right now because it's a stupid old map and Forestry and Quark have been duking it out over who can throw more (and more hilarious/disasterous) map errors at us. As it is, the map's too far gone to try and save, and I don't want to start another map when we've got a new pack on the way.
New modpack will be coming within the next week or two, and will be announced both here and on the old forums. Will be either 1.11 or 1.12 depending on how many mods have made the jump to 12 by then.
